Wayland Oral Surgery COVID-19 Office Reopening Protocol Update (6.08.20)
On June 6, 2020, Governor Baker announced the Phase 2 reopening details. Phase 2 allows dental providers to cautiously and incrementally resume all elective, non-urgent procedures and services, including routine hygiene appointments. Phase 2 excludes elective cosmetic procedures.

Wayland Oral Surgery COVID-19 Office Reopening Protocol Update (5.14.20)
First and foremost, we sincerely hope all is well with you and your family during this unprecedented crisis. Our office was established to provide the highest quality of care in the safest environment based on 3 core values: Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism. This pandemic has challenged all of us in many ways, however, please know that it will not change the level of our commitment and standard to serve you, your family and friends.
As for the guidelines regarding our office reopening, based on recommendations provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS), Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Baker Administration (Phase 1-4 approach), we are currently advised to provide care for only emergency and urgent care patients until we receive further guidance. We will continue to closely monitor their guidelines and keep you updated on any changes.
In order to ensure the safety and provide the highest quality of care for our patients, we have implemented new protocols in the following areas:

In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.
Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
