Matti – Surgical Assistant
Matti started at Wayland Oral Surgery as a patient coordinator in 2014. Over time, her interest in surgical assisting grew and she took the leap to become an oral surgery assistant. She is certified in dental radiology and has attained her DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination) certification. Matti’s warm, welcoming demeanor helps put patients at ease and she commits herself to ensure that their visits are as comfortable as possible. In her spare time, Matti enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her many pets which include three cats and one dog. She also enjoys watching horror movies, shopping, and going to concerts. |

April started at Wayland Oral Surgery as a surgical assistant in 2023 after moving from New Hampshire. She has been a certified dental assistant since 2020 and has worked at a general dentistry office where her love for oral surgery began. She strives to give patients the best experience possible and is dedicated to the office’s mission to be on the forefront of advanced dental technology.
Jessica started with Wayland Oral Surgery in 2018. She has worked in the customer service industry for over ten years and has a passion for working with people. Growing up in a multi-generational family of dentists, she knew this job would be a perfect fit. She enjoys the opportunities offered to her to further her education in the field by attending continuing education seminars and is always willing to learn and expand her horizon. Her main goal is to make sure that each patient feels comfortable and has a pleasant experience and to that end, she is constantly striving to do her very best.
Mariko graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in history and received her D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2002 where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for her academic excellence. She completed her orthodontic specialty residency at New York University College of Dentistry in 2005 and currently practices part time. She strives to ensure the best possible patient experience at Wayland Oral Surgery and is always working with the team to learn and grow together.
